About Me

My name is Colleen Thompson and I am an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in nursing practice at Southern Adventist University. I graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1989 with my Bachelors in Nursing and worked in trauma, surgical intensive care, open heart surgery and transplant before returning to school for my master’s degree at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia in 1995 graduating with my Master’s in Nursing and a certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  I am board certified in nursing through the state of Florida and in family medicine through ANCC. I have worked in family medicine and emergency medicine in the past but have been working in pediatrics since 1999. I enjoy spending time with my husband, three children and extended family.
